Apr. 22: USDA Issues a Draft of the National Animal ID System
USDA has issued a draft business plan to further implement the National Animal Identification System.  The agency feels that the system can be a valuable tool for addressing animal health emergencies and can help livestock producers establish eligibility for several voluntary marketing programs.  For more information from USDA visit: www.usda.gov/nais.
