Watch Cattlemen to Cattlemen Week 53: Original Air Date February 5, 2008:

NCBA's Cattlemen to Cattlemen reports on the confirmation of new U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Edward Schafer. Secretary Schafer was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Jan. 28, and is scheduled to address cattlemen at the 2008 Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show in Reno on Friday, Feb. 8.

Last fall, beef lovers from across the country traveled to Chicago for the 27th National Beef Cook-Off!  The event was hosted by the American National Cattlewomen and produced some exciting beef recipes.  Competitors from around the country participated in a variety of categories including New Dynamic Beef Dishes, Nuevo Latino Beef Recipes, Kids in the Kitchen and Small Plates, Big Taste!  To see the recipes for these exciting new dishes visit: www.beefcookoff.org/WinningRecipe.

It's a tool many producers want to use on their operation:  artificial insemination.  Timed artificial insemination may be a good solution for many cattlemen.  Dr. Dave Patterson from the University of Missouri works with a grant project to teach cattlemen about the uses and benefits of timed artificial insemination.  To learn more about timed artificial insemination visit:
